Management Team
Chief Executive: Cathy Davies B. A. (Hons.), MBA
Cathy has been with the organisation since its inception in 1989. Prior to Hafan Cymru, she worked with Welsh Women's Aid and Carmarthen Women's Aid, with a total of 28 years' experience in the voluntary sector and the field of domestic abuse. She was previously employed as a teacher and researcher and has co-managed an organic dairy farm. She completed a distance learning MBA through the Open University in 2005. She is currently Chair of Carmarthen Youth Project, Treasurer of Cymorth Cymru, the umbrella body for housing-related support, and a trustee of SPAN Arts in Pembrokeshire.
Director of Corporate Services: Claire Thomas A.A.T, C.I.M.A
Prior to commencing work with Hafan Cymru in 2000, Claire worked as an Accounts Manager and a Senior Insolvency Practitioner in the private sector. She has 11 years of accounting experience.
Director of Quality Assurance & Performance: Nikki Warrington B.A.Hons., M. Phil (Law), MCIH.
Nikki has been with the organisation since 1995. Before that she worked for Leicester City Council as Principal Housing Services Manager. She has a wide experience of all aspects of the housing field. Her present duties include operational responsibility for all areas of service delivery.
Chairperson: Fiona Roberts BSc (Hons) Business IT, Cert CIH.
Fiona is a former tenant of Hafan Cymru and has been a Board member since 2002. Fiona is a Housing Law Caseworker for Shelter Cymru, a volunteer Board member of DASU, a volunteer with the Welsh Tenants Federation and is currently studying Foundation Degree Housing at Glyndwr University.
Vice Chairperson: Kathryn Williams BA, MBA, MCIH.
Kathryn has a wealth of experience in housing management having qualified in 1976 and worked in various local authorities and housing associations. She has worked in consultancy for over a decade supporting tenants, housing and voluntary organisations. Kathryn is a former employee of Hafan Cymru.
Treasurer: Ryan Morgans BA (Hons) Econ, MBA, FCIB, FRSA CE MAP.
Ryan is a retired former District Manager with Nationwide Building Society.

Catriona Graham B.A. Hons. Cantab., MCIH, Dip. Social Admin.
Catriona is the former Director of Customer Services for Powys County Council. She has a breadth of experience in the local government housing sector, and chaired the Association for 5 years up to 2001.
Alison Morgan
Alison was our very first ex-tenant member on the Board of Management and brings her experiences of Hafan Cymru's services to ensure that the tenant's and service user’s perspective is borne in mind when considering such issues as quality assurance and evaluation of our support services.
Shirley Sansom
Shirley is a former Chairperson of the Association with many years’ experience in tenants’ rights and experience of working on Boards of various organisations. Shirley was formerly the first Chair of TPAS Cymru, Chair of the Vale Federation of Housing, Chair of the Royal Close and Harbour View residents board because of her work in the community and nominated for the Welsh Woman of the Year in 1995. Shirley is also a board member of Hafod.
Shona Sullivan FRCS, FRCOphth.
Shona was born in the West Midlands and moved to Wales over 40 years ago to study medicine in Cardiff. Shona retired in 2010 after 26 years as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the NHS working in Merthyr, Rhondda and Cynon Taf hospitals. During her working life Shona undertook many clinical leadership and management roles including 4 years Board experience as Executive Medical Director of Cwm Taf Health Board and its predecessor organisations. Shona is married to a doctor. They live on a smallholding in North Cardiff rearing primitive bred sheep and have two grown up children and a grandson.
