FUNDRAISING EVENTS - Cardiff to Paris Bike Ride 2012
25 - 29th July 2012

We are looking for 15 enthusiastic people to burn off the winter weight and get into shape for the bike experience of a lifetime! We are working in partnership with Sarn Helen Cycle Events to raise over £10,000, Watch the video and below for more details:

We would like any one who enters to raise a minimum of £1,500 for Hafan Cymru, with a deposit of £150 - this will cover the cost of the challenge and raise money for Hafan Cymru. Fundraising can be done a number of ways and we will support you with ideas to get you going.



- All Air fares and hotels.

- All ferry crossings.

- All food and drink, (except evening meal).

- All luggage and bike transportation.

- All energy drinks, bars and gels.

- All repairs and maintenance for bikes.

- On hand cycle mechanics.

- Hafan Cymru Cardiff to Paris 2012 cycle Jersey.

- Lots of encouragement from the events team.

- All catering facilities supplied.


We have put together the finest route, from cycling over the Severn bridge into Englands new forest, Le Havre into stunning french countryside, misty mornings on the river Seine, traffic free country roads, sunflowers and poppy fields are in abundance. Onto the most amazing feeling arriving in Paris together bells ringing lots of smiles for the group photo under the Eiffel tower.

Day 1 - 75 miles

Dept from Millenium stadium @ 08.00
Heading over the Severn Bridge then cycling down the mouth of Avon, under the Clifton Suspension bridge through Bristol centre onto the cycle track into Bath then river path to Warminster for our first night.

Day 2 - 70 miles

After a hearty cooked breakfast, a quick warm up and stretch we head off through the stunning English countryside, cycling through the beautiful New forest onto Southampton and Portsmouth, and our overnight crossing to Le Havre.

Day 3 - 75 miles

Welcome to France and prob the best cycling country in the world.
Making our way to Val De Reuil through this lovely countryside and parts of the river Seine, taking a lunch break Giverny and cycling through this stunning countryside where Monets did his most famous paintings of the lily gardens.

Day 4 - 75 miles

Saving the best cycling day to last, after breakfast staright onto the river Seine for most of the day cycling into Paris, misty mornings and beautiful countryside, arriving in Paris approx 6pm at the Trocedero for the group photos and celebrations around the Eiffel Tower. 

Day 5

Day free to roam this amazing city, and dept from Charles De Gaulle early evening.
