PROJECT OF THE YEAR WINNER TACKLES DOMESTIC ABUSE IN WELSH SCHOOLS
The Peer Education programme run by the Spectrum Project won Project of the Year at The Gwynedd High Sheriffs Annual Crimebeat Awards held at the end of March. The Programme, which Spectrum delivers, raises awareness of Domestic Abuse, sexual violence and violence against women with young people across Wales. Two Hafan Cymru staff members marched in London as part of the Million Women Rise movement on International Womens Day 2013. Women march in cities all over Europe against male violence in all its forms. The crowd of thousands was of mixed background and many women and children from different cultures marched.
