Partnership Services

Domestic Abuse - Hafan Cymru has a number of initiatives in place to raise awareness of and tackle domestic abuse and is committed to the development of partnership services to move these initiatives forward.

  • Hafan Cymru hosts several Local Authority Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs), providing advice, information and support to survivors of intimate partner violence living in the community..In partnership with the National Probation Service in Dyfed/Powys. View IDVA.
  • Hafan Cymru also hosts the Independent Domestic Abuse Programme (IDAP), a programme which proves highly effective in challenging the perpetrators’ use of violence, aiming to change the behaviour which leads to it. We are the only non-probation organisation to be working in Wales as part of IDAP and we are very pleased to be able to assist this vital work which helps deliver one of the key themes of the Welsh National Domestic Abuse Strategy. View IDAP.
  • Hafan’s youth education project ‘Spectrum’, funded by Comic Relief and the Welsh Assembly Government, aims to educate the youth of Wales about domestic abuse and it’s consequences. View the Spectrum Project.
  • Learning and Work – Hafan Cymru is a member of a partnership of 6 housing-related organisations who have come together under the umbrella of Tai Dysgu a Gwaith Cymru (housing, learning and work Wales) to develop a common framework for delivery, to ensure best practice at all times and to raise the funding to support our in-house learning and work programmes.
