Coronavirus: Quarantined with perpetrator? Help is available.

As we stay indoors for the national lockdown, we must remember that many people are being quarantined with an abusive partner, family member or guardian.

If somebody you know, or suspect your neighbour is a victim of domestic abuse, please report it – don’t be a bystander.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please seek help – you are not alone.

These services are also available for anyone who knows someone that needs help. For example, a friend, neighbour, family member or colleague. During the National Lockdown it may be difficult to approach the person you are worried about, call the Live Fear Free helpline for advice on how you can take action to help.

In an emergency, always call 999; press 55 if you are unable to speak.

We also recommend downloading the free ‘Bright Sky’ app which provides support and information to anyone who may be in an abusive relationship or those concerned about somebody they know.
