Hafan Cymru in partnership with Gwalia to deliver service to support high risk victims of domestic abuse across Dyfed Powys.
Hafan Cymru is delighted to have secured the Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioner contract to deliver services that will support high risk victims of domestic abuse across the entire Dyfed Powys region. Below is a quote from the Police and Crime Commissioner.
“I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Hafan Cymru on their success in being awarded the contract for Independent Domestic Violence Advisory services for the Dyfed Powys area, after the recent competitive tender process.
I am looking forward to working closely with Hafan Cymru over the contract term, and will continue to evaluate the service, ensuring that it remains efficient and effective, and to help shape the future direction of addressing Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence in Dyfed Powys.
A key priority of my Police and Crime Plan 2017-2021 is ‘Safeguarding the Vulnerable’ and the work of the Independent Domestic Violence Advisory services play an integral part in achieving this for the most vulnerable persons within Dyfed Powys.”
Sian Morgan, CEO of Hafan Cymru, said: For more than 20 years, Hafan Cymru have been providing specialist accommodation and support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse across Wales and we are extremely proud to have been chosen to deliver this high risk intervention service on behalf of the Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioner.
This project will be delivered in partnership with Gwalia and commences on the 1st July 2018. Necia Lewis, Deputy Head of Operations said: “This is great testament to our long-standing partnership with Gwalia and the specialist expertise and experience of our Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs).
