Three FREE half day sessions in May!

We are committed to raising awareness of the impact of abuse on individuals and communities.
That’s why, in May, we are offering three half day FREE Controlling & Coercive Behaviour awareness sessions.  We are passionate about increasing knowledge around Controlling & Coercive Behaviour and want to give everyone the opportunity to develop their understanding of this topic.  The sessions will be delivered virtually and are open to everyone but there are limited places available so please book here before they go!

North Wales VAWDASV Training available now!

Hafan Cymru is delighted to be able to offer VAWDASV training for professionals working across North Wales between November 2020 and March 2021. This package of training has been funded via the VAWDASV revenue grant, managed by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales.

Hafan Cymru will be delivering remote ‘online’ VAWDASV training developed in line with the Welsh Government Group 4 specialist subject syllabus learning outcomes. Training will be offered in both Welsh and English across all subjects with dates commencing on 2nd November through to 31st March 2021. Accreditation on request.

The training is free of charge and includes sessions on the subjects of:

  • Understanding Forced Marriage
  • Understanding Domestic Abuse and Controlling Coercive Behaviour
  • Understanding Domestic Abuse and the Effect on Children
  • Understanding Honour Based Violence
  • Understanding Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
  • Understanding Child Sexual Exploitation

Wellbeing and Resilience Service now available!

We are excited to launch our new project! Funded by WCVA and Welsh Government our Wellbeing and Resilience Service provides support to people struggling as a result of COVID-19. If it’s just a chat or coping techniques you need, we can offer support via telephone and spend two to six weeks supporting you to positively change your wellbeing and build your resilience.
